Carrigan is the beautiful but evil daughter of a very wealthy(and very dead) father. Rude, heartless and greedy, she hoped to inherit her fathers millions. Instead, she is left Whipstaff Manor, a house full of ghosts. Carrigan is furious...until she learns that the house may be full of hidden treasure. "Finally", she says, "I'm going to get what I deserve!"

Dibs, a bumbling, sniveling, rather mousy fellow, is the companion of Carrigan Crittenden. His job seems to be to flatter her, apologize for her, and to act as her servant. Carrigan shows her appreciation by bossing Dibs around and insulting him at every opportunity. When Dibs dares to speak up, Carrigan's response is always the same: "Shut up, you idiot!"
